Riyadh airport tragedy: Indian embassy stands with bereaved family, visits injured citizens in hospital.

The Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia personally attended the funeral and last rites of the Indian national who tragically lost his life in the recent attack at the Riyadh airport, offering deep condolences to the bereaved family. The Indian Embassy in Riyadh shared details of the solemn proceeding through a social media post late Monday night.

According to the embassy, Ambassador Vipul along with senior mission officials joined family members and friends of the deceased, Mohammed Yusuf Ali, at the memorial gathering. The ambassador expressed heartfelt sympathies to the grieving family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul. The mission reaffirmed that the family has been assured of complete assistance and cooperation from the embassy during this difficult hour.

The tragic incident occurred on October 10 at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, resulting in the untimely death of Mohammed Yusuf Ali. The attack also left several others injured, including 10 Indian nationals. Saudi authorities have squarely blamed the Houthi rebels of Yemen for orchestrating the strike. Swiftly responding to the crisis, the Indian mission stepped in to assist the family with all necessary formalities and administrative procedures surrounding the repatriation and final rites.

Additionally, embassy officials visited the hospital to check on the condition of the injured Indian citizens receiving treatment. The mission confirmed it is in constant touch with the families of the injured and is providing continuous support. In light of ongoing security concerns, the Indian Embassy has strongly urged all Indian nationals residing in Saudi Arabia to remain vigilant, stay indoors, and strictly adhere to all safety guidelines issued by local authorities.
