Yogi to the Rescue! 24-Hour Relief Deadline Set for Farmers Hit by Rain and Fire

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has stepped in to provide urgent relief to farmers in Uttar Pradesh following extensive damage to Rabi crops caused by unseasonal rains, hailstorms, and fire incidents. During a high-level meeting on Wednesday, the CM reassured the farming community, stating, “The government stands firmly with our providers (Annadatas) in all circumstances.”

CM Yogi has directed the Revenue and Agriculture departments to conduct an immediate and impartial survey of every affected field. He emphasized that there should be no delay in disbursing compensation from the State Disaster Relief Fund. Insurance companies have been told to settle claims swiftly under official supervision. In cases of loss of life or livestock due to fire, relief must reach families within 24 hours. Furthermore, families whose homes were gutted in fires will be prioritized under the ‘Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana’ for new housing. The Chief Minister issued a stern warning to officials, stating that any negligence in relief operations will lead to immediate disciplinary action.
