Curtains Down for ‘Chirosakha’! Magic Moments Boycott Sparks Unemployment Crisis in Tollywood

The ban on ‘Magic Moments Motion Pictures’ following the tragic demise of actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee has sent shockwaves through the Bengali television industry. Popular shows like ‘Chirosakha’ and ‘Kone Dekha Alo’ have hit a dead end, leaving hundreds of daily-wage technicians and supporting actors in financial peril. On Wednesday evening, a desperate group of industry workers met superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee at the Technicians’ Studio to discuss their uncertain future.
Actor Vivann Ghosh raised his voice on social media and with ETV Bharat, stating that while the guilty should be punished, innocent workers who have served the house for 20 years shouldn’t starve. Prosenjit Chatterjee assured the workers that the Artist Forum and Federation would prioritize their security. However, he remained firm on the demand for transparency regarding the circumstances of Rahul’s death. While the future of the ongoing serials rests with the channels, the primary focus is now on rehabilitating the displaced workforce.
