Votes Over Dignity? BJP Candidate Turns Barber on Campaign Trail, Shaves Voter’s Beard!

With the election fever gripping West Bengal, candidates are leaving no stone unturned—quite literally—to woo voters. In a bizarre turn of events in Birbhum’s Dubrajpur, BJP candidate Anup Saha was seen performing the role of a barber.

While campaigning in Kulekuri village, Saha noticed a local man shaving outside his house. In an attempt to showcase his “down-to-earth” nature, the BJP leader took the razor and finished the job himself. The video has since gone viral, drawing comparisons to BJP’s Hiran Chatterjee, who faced massive trolling in 2021 for bathing a voter during his campaign.

Saha defended his actions, stating, “Helping people in their small daily tasks is the duty of a representative.” However, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) was quick to hit back. TMC candidate Naresh Chandra Bauri labeled Saha a “joker,” claiming that these antics are a sign of desperation as the BJP lacks real ground support. As the battle for Birbhum intensifies, this “shaving diplomacy” has certainly added a humorous twist to the high-stakes political drama.
