Following the West Bengal Assembly election results, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav met TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee at her Kolkata residence. During the meeting, which was attended by Abhishek Banerjee, Akhilesh expressed emotional support for the TMC leader, stating that the BJP had scaled up its Uttar Pradesh by-election strategy to undermine democracy in Bengal.

Sharp Attack on BJP Comparing the BJP to the layers of ‘Soan Papdi,’ Akhilesh described the party as a structure built on layers of lies. He questioned the accountability for the burning of TMC offices despite the deployment of over three lakh security personnel. He alleged that the BJP and the Election Commission had collectively compromised democratic integrity.

Strengthening Opposition Unity Reiterating his support, Akhilesh asserted that “Didi” has not lost and termed Rekha Gupta an immature Chief Minister. He emphasized that the BJP’s feudal mindset cannot tolerate women’s progress. Both leaders vowed to further strengthen the ‘INDIA’ bloc to take on the BJP in future political battles.
