Massive Blaze Engulfs Delhi Factory! 11 Fire Engines Rush to Mayapuri as Massive Fire Sparks Panic

It was nearly 9:00 PM when disaster struck a bustling industrial unit in Mayapuri, West Delhi. A massive and ferocious fire broke out inside a prominent manufacturing factory that specializes in producing plastic mattresses, foam, and flex-boards. Given the highly flammable nature of the stored materials, the fire spread at a terrifying speed, engulfing a large portion of the compound within minutes. Responding swiftly to emergency distress calls, a total of 11 fire tenders rushed to the spot alongside heavy police contingents.
According to eyewitness accounts, thick plumes of dark, choking smoke suddenly began billowing from the factory premises at around 9:00 PM. The towering flames triggered immediate panic among residents and workers in the densely packed surrounding areas. Recognizing the immense scale of the hazard, Delhi Police proactively evacuated neighboring factories and residential buildings as a precautionary safety measure to prevent any unforeseen casualties.
Briefing the media on the ongoing operations, Fire Official Jaiswal stated, “We received an urgent distress call regarding the blaze at precisely 9:00 PM. An adequate number of fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Our teams initiated firefighting operations without delay. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far, and frantic efforts are currently underway to bring the entire situation under complete control.”
Other senior fire officials noted that firefighters had to navigate severe operational challenges, including narrow alleyways and blinding thick smoke. Despite these hurdles, specialized response units successfully prevented the leaping flames from spreading to adjacent properties. Water tenders and specialized fire-suppression equipment were heavily deployed. However, the exact root cause of the fire—whether triggered by an electrical short circuit or combustible materials—remains undetermined at this initial stage.
Search and rescue personnel confirmed that no individuals were trapped inside the burning facility. Police and fire department officials have jointly announced that a detailed, comprehensive forensic investigation will commence only after the fire is completely doused to determine the exact extent of property damage and pinpoint the precise origin of the mishap. The primary factory unit was dedicated to manufacturing plastic billboards, signboards, and outdoor flex-materials.
