Bringing immense joy to millions across the state, the meteorological department has officially confirmed that there is no threat of a low-pressure system or cyclone disrupting the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations. With the ominous rain clouds staying away, citizens can now plan their pandal hopping and festive outings without any weather-related worries. The weather office has released a comprehensive forecast detailing atmospheric conditions from Sashti right up to Ekadashi.

According to the Met department, scattered light to moderate thunder-showers accompanied by lightning are likely in several districts of South Bengal today. Areas including South 24 Parganas, Kolkata, Howrah, East and West Medinipur, and Jhargram may witness brief spells of rain. However, meteorologists have assured that these localized spells will not pose any major weather hazards or disrupt daily festivities significantly.

As the celebrations officially kick off on Mahashashti tomorrow, conditions are expected to improve further. On Sashti, only isolated pockets in South 24 Parganas and East Medinipur are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall, while the rest of the region will remain mostly dry. More importantly, from Saptami through Ekadashi, weather conditions across all districts of South Bengal will remain predominantly dry, ensuring completely uninterrupted and pleasant festivities throughout the core puja days.

Meanwhile, North Bengal is also set to experience favorable weather. While districts like Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, and Kalimpong might witness light, isolated spells of rain in one or two places, the overall weather pattern across the northern region will remain dry. Tourists and locals heading to the hills can enjoy a hassle-free vacation. With clear skies and pleasant autumn weather prevailing, Bengal is all set to celebrate Durga Puja with unmatched enthusiasm and joy.
