Health Scare: 198 Life-Saving Medicines Fail Quality Test; Paracetamol & Antibiotics Banned!

In a shocking revelation that has sent shockwaves through the medical fraternity, 198 brands of medicines, injections, and surgical equipment have failed rigorous quality tests. Following a report from the Central Drug Laboratory, the State Health Department has issued a high alert, banning the sale and use of these substandard medical supplies effective immediately.

The failed items include high-demand drugs like 21 variants of Paracetamol, 19 types of blood pressure medication (Telmisartan), and 20 critical antibiotics such as Azithromycin and Amoxicillin. More alarming is the failure of basic surgical tools; hypodermic needles from Faridabad and Himachal Pradesh failed sterility tests, while balloon catheters from Haryana were found to contain bacterial endotoxins. Even surgical cotton from top Indian firms failed the ‘cleanliness’ standards in multiple state labs.

The Health Department has directed all hospitals, wholesalers, and retailers to immediately freeze the stock of these blacklisted products. Any purchase, sale, or administration of these batches is strictly prohibited and must be removed from the entire supply chain. Doctors and patients have been urged to remain vigilant as the government initiates a massive recall to prevent any further risk to public health.
