Gear Up for Polls; TMC Revamps Media Cell with a Fresh Strategy Ahead of Assembly Elections

With the upcoming assembly elections just around the corner, the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) has finalized a revamped strategy for public outreach and election campaigning. Recognizing the need to communicate the party’s message effectively, TMC has completely overhauled its media cell.

A key highlight of this strategy is the shift in focus towards district-level communication. While a core team of 40 spokespersons has been finalized for the state level, the party is now appointing at least two to four designated spokespersons in every district. These individuals will be responsible for articulating the party’s stance on local issues to the media and the public. A structured roster has been established for these spokespersons, with operations under the new media cell commencing on March 12.

The revamped team is a strategic blend of veteran ministers and MPs alongside prominent faces from the party’s student and youth wings. By combining experience with youthful energy, the TMC aims to counter opposition narratives more aggressively across social media and electronic platforms, ensuring a strong digital and broadcast presence ahead of the electoral battle.
