In a sensational pre-season move, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have secured the services of Kerala’s star batter Sanju Samson for IPL 2026. This blockbuster trade saw CSK sending Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran to Rajasthan Royals in exchange for the dynamic wicketkeeper-batsman.

Coming off a stellar T20 World Cup campaign where he was named ‘Player of the Tournament’ with 321 runs, Samson has already joined the CSK training camp. A clip featuring him and MS Dhoni sharing a moment on the field has set the internet on fire, sparking excitement among the ‘Yellow Army.’

Speaking to PTI, an elated Samson said, “I have followed Mahi Bhai all my life. Spending the next two months with him in the same dugout is a dream come true. I am excited to learn from him every single day.” Sanju’s debut for CSK will be a high-voltage drama as they face his former team, Rajasthan Royals, in Guwahati on March 30.
