BJP’s Kharagpur Sadar candidate Dilip Ghosh has sparked a major controversy with his fiery remarks against the local police and administration. Returning to his trademark aggressive style, Ghosh openly challenged the Inspector-in-Charge (IC) of a local police station during an election rally, accusing the official of threatening BJP workers.

The Confrontation: “Do you have bullets from your father? How many do you have? If you hear the sound of a real shot, you’ll wet your pants,” Ghosh thundered from the stage. He warned that he would not hesitate to take physical action if provoked, saying, “Are you showing bullets to Dilip Ghosh? I will pick you up and slam you on the streets.”

Warning to Bureaucracy: Apart from the police, Ghosh also targeted a railway official, claiming credit for his swift transfer. He asserted that anyone hindering the work of common people or harassing party workers would face a similar fate. Political analysts suggest that Ghosh’s “Old Form” is a strategic move to energize the BJP cadre in Kharagpur before the high-stakes battle.
