A controversial ‘sting video’ featuring Humayun Kabir, Chairman of the Amjanata Unnayan Party, has triggered a political firestorm in Bengal. While the TMC released the video alleging a secret ₹1000-crore deal between Kabir and the BJP, the leader has dismissed it as a “deepfake” created using AI to malign his image.

The social media poll conducted by the show ‘Ghantakhanek Sange Suman’ reveals a significant trend in public opinion:

• Impact on Elections: A massive 71% of respondents believe this video will not affect the upcoming election results, while only 24% think otherwise.
• Believability of AI Claim: Interestingly, 72% of people agree with Humayun Kabir’s defense that the video was manipulated using AI. Only 23% disagree with his claim.

The poll suggests that despite the heavy allegations leveled by the TMC, a vast majority of the digital audience perceives the video as a technological manipulation rather than a credible expose.
