Yogi will have to do this as opposition! Akhilesh mocks CM’s Padyatra

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has launched a scathing attack on UP CM Yogi Adityanath following his recent ‘Padyatra’ in Lucknow. Mocking the rally held amidst scorching heat, Akhilesh termed it a “practice session,” suggesting that the BJP will soon find itself in the opposition benches where they will have to conduct such marches regularly. He emphasized that the public has already chosen the path of democracy and the INDIA alliance.

Social Justice and Reservation Row Taking a dig at the Women’s Reservation Act, Yadav alleged that the BJP is the actual hurdle in its implementation. He argued that without a proper caste census or headcount, the promise of reservation remains hollow. He credited the PDA (Backward, Dalit, and Minority) formula for the recent electoral shifts and claimed that social justice can only be achieved by defeating the current regime’s “ill intentions.”

Democratic Values and Reprisals The SP leader also raised concerns over political intolerance, citing an instance where a youth’s tea shop was allegedly shut down merely for serving him tea. He questioned the state of democracy where personal vendettas influence administrative actions. Meanwhile, MP Dharmendra Yadav confirmed that the party intends to introduce a private member’s bill in Parliament to demand separate sub-quotas for OBC and Muslim women within the women’s reservation framework.
