“Will Make You Do Squats on the Street!” Dilip Ghosh Launches Scathing Attack on Kharagpur Police

Firebrand BJP leader Dilip Ghosh has sparked a major controversy in Kharagpur by launching a direct and personal attack on the local Police Inspector-in-Charge (IC). During a high-octane election rally, Ghosh accused the police official of intimidating BJP workers and forcing them to work for the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
According to Dilip Ghosh, the IC allegedly threatened party workers with dire consequences, including being shot after the election results on May 4, if they didn’t switch sides. Retaliating with his signature boldness, Ghosh remarked, “How many bullets does he have? Don’t try to show your dominance; I will make you do squats on the road. I have dealt with goons and mafias before, and I will settle every account this time too.”
This comes shortly after Suvendu Adhikari made similar complaints in Bhawanipore regarding the misuse of police machinery. Ghosh’s open defiance and the “eye-to-eye” challenge to the administration have intensified the political temperature in Kharagpur. With both sides refusing to back down, the war of words between the BJP and the state police is reaching a boiling point.
