Wedding Turns into Brawl, Neighbors Attack Groom’s Family Over Liquor Demands in Gwalior

In a bizarre and violent turn of events, a wedding ceremony in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district turned into a battlefield after the groom’s family refused to serve alcohol to a group of neighbors. The incident, which left the bride, groom, and several family members injured, has sparked outrage in the locality.
According to City Superintendent of Police Manish Yadav, the conflict began when a group identified as Manoj Jatav, Harnam, Bheem, and Naval Kishore demanded money for liquor from the groom, Mahesh Jatav. When Mahesh refused to entertain their demand, the situation turned violent. The groom’s mother, Sheela, alleged that the group barged into the house during post-wedding rituals and started assaulting everyone in sight.
The attackers didn’t stop at physical assault; they allegedly vandalized the property and stole cash from the house. Other wedding guests who tried to intervene were also caught in the fray, leading to a massive scuffle between the two groups. Police have registered cross-complaints from both parties and have sent the injured for medical examinations as the investigation continues.
