WB Voter List Breakthrough: First SIR Supplementary List Today! Here’s How to Check Your Name

In a crucial update ahead of the 2026 West Bengal Assembly Elections, the Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to publish the first supplementary voter list today, Monday, March 23rd. This release follows the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, which initially left over 60 lakh names marked as “Under Adjudication” in the final electoral roll published on February 28. According to sources, the verification of approximately 27 lakh pending applications has been completed, and their status will be reflected in today’s list.

How to Find Your Name: Voters can verify their inclusion through two primary channels:

  1. Online Portals: Visit the CEO West Bengal website (ceowestbengal.wb.gov.in) or the national portal (voters.eci.gov.in). By selecting the ‘SIR 2026 Supplementary List’ option, users can download the PDF for their respective assembly constituencies or polling booths.
  2. EPIC Search: Using the ‘ECINET’ mobile app or the ECI portal, voters can enter their Voter ID (EPIC) number to instantly check their current status.

For those without internet access, physical copies of the supplementary list will be displayed at all polling stations and the offices of the Electoral Registration Officers (ERO/SDO). Voters are encouraged to visit their local Booth Level Officer (BLO) for assistance.

This supplementary list is a significant move following the Supreme Court’s directives to ensure a clean and transparent electoral roll. If a name is still missing or has been erroneously excluded, the ECI has established 19 Appellate Tribunals across 23 districts, presided over by former judges, to hear final appeals. With the first phase of polling in West Bengal scheduled for April 23, citizens are urged to confirm their enrollment as soon as the list goes live this evening.
