The sudden demise of actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee during the shoot of ‘Bhole Baba Par Karega’ has sparked a massive firestorm in Tollywood. The Artists’ Forum and Technicians’ Federation have collectively halted all projects of the production house ‘Magic Moments,’ headed by Leena Gangopadhyay and Saibal Banerjee. Amidst this chaos, actress Bornini Chakraborty, who was recently cast for the revamped version of the show, shared her unsettling experience.

Bornini revealed that the casting process was shrouded in mystery. “I was called for a look set but wasn’t initially informed which serial it was for,” she stated. While she didn’t know Rahul personally, she expressed deep respect for him, adding, “What happened to Rahul Da is tragic. Everyone is mentally devastated.”

Regarding the industry-wide strike, Bornini emphasized the struggle for survival, saying, “At the end of the day, if we don’t work, how will we eat? However, the Forum’s decision is for our own safety. We are following the guidelines until a proper investigation is completed.” With icons like Ranjit Mallick and Prosenjit Chatterjee intervening, the industry awaits a resolution that ensures better working conditions for all.
