Record-Breaker Sinner! Becomes Youngest to Sweep Hard-Court Masters 1000 Titles
Jannik Sinner has etched his name in tennis history, surpassing legends like Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic to become the youngest player (at 24) to win all six hard-court ATP Masters 1000 titles. Sinner clinched the Indian Wells crown by defeating Daniil Medvedev in a high-voltage straight-set victory (7-6, 7-6).
What makes this feat even more remarkable is that Sinner became the first male player to win back-to-back ATP Masters 1000 titles without dropping a single set, following his Paris Masters victory last November. This triumph significantly narrows the 2,200-point gap between him and world number one Carlos Alcaraz.
Despite the loss, Medvedev’s resurgence continues as he makes his way back into the top 10 rankings. After the match, a jubilant Sinner remarked, “It was a very difficult match. It feels special to share this moment with my team.”
