“Ready the Parallel Machinery!” Mamata Banerjee’s Direct Order to TMC Workers Against Arrest Fears

In a high-octane rally at Pingla, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee issued a stern warning to her party workers to prepare a “parallel machinery” for the upcoming elections. Expressing fears that the police might arrest TMC booth agents under pressure from the BJP, she instructed, “If one agent is arrested, another must immediately take their place. Keep the fight on.”

Breaking away from her iconic 2011 slogan “Bandal Noy, Badal Chai” (Want change, not revenge), she significantly called for a democratic “revenge” through the ballot box this time. She asserted that the “Bulldozer policy” of Uttar Pradesh would find no place in West Bengal.

The biggest takeaway from the rally was the promise of a new scheme—’Duare Swasthya’ (Health at Doorstep). Building on the success of ‘Duare Sarkar’, she assured that doctors and nurses would visit residents to provide free medical consultations. Mamata also criticized the Election Commission over voter list corrections and warned against NRC and delimitation “conspiracies” to divide Bengal. She concluded by accusing the BJP of distributing black money and hiring crowds for rallies, claiming their “game is over” in the state.
