Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 Creates History! Crushes Records of Jawan & KGF 2

Ranveer Singh and director Aditya Dhar have officially rewritten the history of Indian cinema with their latest spy thriller, ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’. Released on March 19, the film has unleashed a massive tsunami at the box office, surpassing the opening day collections of legendary blockbusters.
According to Sacnilk, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ netted a staggering ₹102.55 crore in India on its official opening day (Thursday). When combined with the ₹43 crore earned during ‘Paid Previews’ on March 18, the film’s total domestic net collection stands at a monumental ₹145.55 crore. This performance has easily eclipsed the opening records of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ (₹75 Cr), Prabhas’s ‘Salaar’ (₹92 Cr), and Yash’s ‘KGF 2’ (₹116 Cr). Despite a long runtime of 3 hours 49 minutes and an ‘A’ rating, the hype remained unstoppable.
The film follows the intense journey of an undercover Indian agent operating inside Pakistan. Featuring a powerhouse cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan, the movie captivated audiences with its high-octane action and political drama. Globally, the film had already crossed ₹250 crore in pre-sales. It is now officially the first Hindi film to surpass the ₹100 crore net mark on its opening day in India, securing its place as one of the biggest openers in world cinema history.
