The political temperature in West Bengal is set to soar today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives for a high-decibel election campaign. Strengthening the party’s push in the state, the Prime Minister will address three consecutive mega rallies in East Midnapore’s Haldia, West Burdwan’s Asansol, and Birbhum’s Suri.

This strategic visit highlights the BJP’s focus on the industrial belt and the politically volatile Birbhum district. With the elections approaching, the Prime Minister’s presence is expected to galvanize the party rank and file. Haldia, being a crucial port town, and Asansol, a high-stakes constituency, are top priorities for the saffron camp.

Reacting to the visit, senior BJP leader Dilip Ghosh expressed immense optimism. He stated that the people of Bengal have already decided on a change and PM Modi’s visit acts as a catalyst for that transformation. Ghosh remarked that the overwhelming enthusiasm among the masses for these rallies indicates a clean sweep for the party. He further added that the Prime Minister’s message would resonate with the youth and workers across these districts, ending the “misrule” of the opposition. Tight security measures have been deployed across all three venues to ensure a smooth conduct of the events.
