No Fuel Crisis Despite West Asia War! LPG Bookings Drop by 1.1 Million as Panic Subsides

Despite the escalating conflict in West Asia, India’s fuel supply remains robust and stable. The Union Government’s repeated assurances have successfully quelled public panic, leading to a significant drop in LPG refill bookings—from 88.8 lakh on Friday to 77 lakh on Saturday.

Officials confirmed that domestic refineries are operating at full capacity with ample crude oil reserves. India is currently self-sufficient in petrol and diesel production, eliminating immediate concerns over import disruptions. To ensure fair distribution, the government has prioritized supplies for households, hospitals, and educational institutions.

Meanwhile, surveillance has been intensified in states like Bihar and Andhra Pradesh to prevent hoarding and black marketing. Digital LPG bookings have seen a sharp rise to 87%, following a government push for cashless transactions. Additionally, the Ministry of External Affairs noted that approximately 1.94 lakh Indians have been evacuated from the conflict zone since February 28. Citizens are advised to remain calm and avoid unnecessary bulk bookings.
