Mission 2026: Amit Shah to Unveil BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ Today; Big Promises for ‘Sonar Bangla’!

The political temperature in West Bengal has reached a boiling point as Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to release the BJP’s election manifesto, titled ‘Sankalp Patra,’ today in Kolkata. Aiming to oust the ruling TMC, the saffron party has focused on a comprehensive blueprint for the state’s development, emphasizing seven core sectors. From revitalizing the “ailing” economy to massive infrastructure pushes, the document outlines BJP’s vision for a “Viksit Bengal.”

According to party insiders, the primary focus remains on job creation and an industrial revolution to attract fresh investments. However, a linguistic debate has stolen the spotlight alongside the promises. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently criticized the use of the word ‘Ishtehar’ by the TMC, calling it an attempt to appease a specific community with Urdu terminology. The TMC hit back, clarifying the word’s Arabic roots and questioning the Prime Minister’s logic. As both sides lock horns, the release of the ‘Sankalp Patra’ is expected to set the tone for the upcoming electoral battle.
