Middle East War Claims Another Indian Life! Iran Attacks US Oil Tankers Near Iraq Coast
The raging conflict in West Asia has claimed the life of another Indian citizen. According to PTI, Iranian forces launched a brutal attack on two US oil tankers near Iraq’s Khor Al-Zubair port. The vessels, carrying nearly 4 lakh barrels of oil, caught fire instantly, causing a massive environmental hazard as oil leaked into the sea.
Tragically, one Indian national lost their life in this assault, bringing the total Indian death toll in the conflict to three. While 27 other crew members were rescued and taken to Basra, the incident has sparked panic among the 10 million Indians residing in the region. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar informed Parliament that the government is prioritizing the safety of Indian students and workers currently trapped in the war zone.
