Massive Relief for Households, Government Overhauls LPG Booking Rules!
Ending the frustration of long waiting periods for cooking gas, the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has announced a significant relaxation in LPG cylinder booking norms. The mandatory 21-day gap between two consecutive cylinder bookings has been officially reduced, much to the relief of consumers nationwide. Joint Secretary of the Petroleum Ministry, Sujata Sharma, confirmed that the government has revised these timelines to address growing demand and improve service efficiency.
Under the new guidelines, consumers can now book their next cylinder much earlier, ensuring a steady supply for households. This shift is primarily driven by the integration of advanced digital tracking and the modernization of the distribution network. By streamlining the supply chain, the government aims to curb black marketing and eliminate artificial shortages that often plague the sector. Instructions have been issued to all LPG distribution centers across the country to implement these changes immediately. This policy shift is a major step towards enhancing energy accessibility and convenience for the average consumer, marking a welcome change in domestic fuel management.
