‘Mamata Might Stage Attack on Herself for Sympathy’: Dilip Ghosh’s Explosive Claim

During a high-octane election campaign in Kharagpur’s Sanjual area, BJP candidate Dilip Ghosh launched a scathing attack on the TMC leadership over recent arrests and corruption charges. Commenting on the arrest of I-PAC co-founder Vineet Chandel in a coal smuggling case, Ghosh stated that the “black money” used to rig elections and intimidate voters is finally being tracked down. He asserted that the era of TMC’s corruption is nearing its end as investigative agencies tighten their grip.

Responding to Abhishek Banerjee’s claims of political vendetta, Ghosh remarked, “Agencies don’t wait for an auspicious date to make arrests; they act when they have proof.” He also took a direct swipe at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s “shoot me or jail me” rhetoric, calling it a desperate attempt to gain public sympathy. “After the broken leg tactic failed, she is now using the fear of death to win votes. She might even orchestrate an attack on herself to stay relevant,” Ghosh claimed.
