In a massive blow to the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), heavyweight leader Arabul Islam has officially announced his resignation from the party. His departure has sent shockwaves across Bengal’s political landscape, especially in Bhangar, where he has been a dominant force for years. Following his exit, Arabul did not mince words, directly targeting Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. “Mamata is running the party with those who have played ‘Holi with blood’,” he stated, implying a nexus with violent elements.

The veteran leader formally declared that from today onwards, he will have no professional or political relationship with any TMC leader or the party’s organizational activities. Addressing long-standing allegations against him, Arabul asserted, “I am not a ‘Tolabaaj’ (extortionist). I have been unfairly labeled while trying to serve the people. I will not tolerate this disrespect any longer.”
