Malda Hostage Crisis! Amit Malviya Shares ‘Leaked’ Video of Minister Sabina Yasmin

The Kaliachak hostage crisis, involving seven judicial officers, has taken a sharp political turn as the BJP pointed fingers at outgoing TMC Minister and Sujapur candidate Sabina Yasmin. Just as the NIA team landed in Malda for investigation on Friday, BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya posted a video on X (formerly Twitter), alleging Yasmin’s direct involvement in the unrest.

Malviya claimed that Yasmin was seen leading a protest just hours before the judicial officers were surrounded and harassed by a mob. “Deleting posts now won’t help; everything has been recorded,” Malviya remarked while drawing the attention of the Supreme Court and the Election Commission to the footage. Suvendu Adhikari also doubled down on the claims, stating that the entire incident was a pre-planned conspiracy by the TMC leadership, executed by Yasmin.

Refuting the allegations, Sabina Yasmin struck back with a witty retort. “Suvendu Adhikari has always been terrified of me, especially during elections. I actually enjoy his fear,” she said. While the TMC denies any wrongdoing, the emergence of this video has added a fresh layer of controversy to the ongoing NIA probe and the Supreme Court’s scrutiny of the state’s law and order.
