Lethal Price of Love! Couple Brutally Killed by Family for Defying Orders in Shocking Honor Killing

A spine-chilling case of honor killing has emerged from the Kutch district of Gujarat, where a young couple was allegedly murdered by the woman’s family for refusing to end their relationship. The victims, identified as Navin Rabari (24) and Sonu Rabari (19), had been missing since February 3, 2026. Their highly decomposed bodies were recently recovered from a deep well near Khambhla village, nearly 40 days after the crime.

According to the police investigation, the couple had been in a relationship for two years and intended to marry. However, Sonu’s father, Vanka Rabari, was bitterly opposed to the union. On the day of the incident, when Sonu insisted on staying with Navin and refused to return home, Vanka and his nephew Soma allegedly strangled both of them on the spot. To destroy evidence, they dumped the bodies into a well and burned their mobile phones in a nearby forest.

The audacity of the crime came to light when it was discovered that Vanka had himself filed a missing person’s report for his daughter to divert suspicion. However, consistent monitoring and intelligence led the police to confront the family, who eventually confessed to the murder. The father and nephew have been arrested, while Sonu’s mother has also been booked. This incident has sparked widespread outrage, highlighting the persistence of regressive social norms that lead to such extreme violence.
