Legal War in Bengal: Arjun Singh Challenges TMC Over Content Contempt & Poll Violence!

The political landscape of Barrackpur is set for a high-voltage showdown as veteran leader Arjun Singh returns to the electoral fray for the 2026 Assembly elections. Nominated from the Noapara constituency by the BJP, Singh kicked off his campaign today by seeking blessings at various temples on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
Addressing the media at Mazdoor Bhawan in Jagatdal, Singh launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He announced his decision to file a contempt of court petition against the CM in the Supreme Court, alleging that the Trinamool Congress is blatantly violating judicial directives by posting distorted images of BJP leaders on social media.
“This isn’t just an election; it’s a battle to save democracy and the judiciary,” Singh stated. He further demanded that the state’s law and order be handed over to central forces immediately to ensure a fair process. With his entry into Noapara and the looming legal battle, the stakes for the 2026 elections have reached a fever pitch.
