Kumbh Mela’s ‘Viral Girl’ Mona Lisa weds under police protection; director alleges ‘Love Jihad’
Mona Lisa, the viral sensation from the Kumbh Mela who captured millions of hearts with her radiant looks, is back in the spotlight for a controversial reason. She recently married Farman Khan, a resident of Bhagpat, Uttar Pradesh, amidst tight police security in Thiruvananthapuram.
The marriage has ignited a firestorm on social media, with accusations of ‘Love Jihad’ surfacing. Director Sanoj Mishra, who had signed Mona Lisa for his upcoming project ‘The Diary of Manipur’, expressed deep frustration. He claimed that the actress prioritized money over her professional commitments, and alleged that she has fallen victim to ‘Love Jihad’.
However, her husband Farman Khan dismisses the noise. He described their bond as, “A 60-year-long love story within just 6 months.” He revealed that they met on a film set and that it was Mona Lisa who proposed to him. Hailing from Indore, Mona Lisa shot to fame during the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Whether this marriage will impact her budding film career remains to be seen.
