Fiery Death Trap In Andhra! 14 Burnt Alive As Bus Collides Head-On With Truck

In a spine-chilling road accident, at least 14 people were burnt alive on Thursday afternoon in Andhra Pradesh’s Markapuram district. The tragedy occurred when a passenger-laden bus collided head-on with a speeding truck, leading to a massive explosion and an uncontrollable fire. Witnesses described a scene of absolute horror as the bus was engulfed in flames within seconds, leaving the trapped passengers with zero chance of escape.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the fuel tank of the bus reportedly ruptured, igniting an inferno that gutted the entire vehicle. Local residents rushed to the spot but were pushed back by the intense heat and exploding tyres. By the time fire tenders and police personnel reached the site and managed to douse the flames, 14 passengers had already succumbed to the fire. Their charred remains were later recovered from the skeletal remains of the bus.
Several other passengers, who managed to jump out or were rescued with severe burn injuries, are currently battling for their lives at local hospitals. The district administration has launched a high-level probe into the cause of the accident, with preliminary reports suggesting reckless driving by the truck driver. The Chief Minister has expressed profound grief over the loss of lives and announced ex-gratia for the families of the victims. This tragic incident has once again highlighted the dire need for stricter safety norms on the nation’s highways.
