Empty Chairs at Shamik’s Rally! “They Only Know How to Ride Chariots,” Mocks TMC
The political temperature in West Bengal has reached a boiling point as the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) launched a scathing attack on the BJP’s ongoing ‘Parivartan Yatra’. The controversy erupted following a public meeting addressed by senior BJP leader Shamik Bhattacharya, where the turnout was reportedly abysmal, leaving the venue looking virtually deserted.
TMC’s Scathing Critique: Seizing the opportunity, the TMC was quick to mock the saffron party. TMC leaders pointed out that the lack of crowds at the rally is a clear indication that the BJP has lost its footing in Bengal. “These leaders are disconnected from the masses; they prefer roaming in air-conditioned chariots (Raths) rather than walking on the ground,” a TMC spokesperson remarked. They further labeled the ‘Parivartan Yatra’ as nothing more than a “luxury political tour” that fails to resonate with the common people.
BJP’s Counter-Defense: The BJP, however, blamed the state administration for the low attendance, alleging that the police and TMC goons intimidated supporters to prevent them from reaching the venue. Despite these justifications, the visuals of the empty ground have gone viral on social media, sparking a heated debate. Whether the ‘Parivartan Rath’ can actually bring the promised change or if the empty fields are a sign of things to come for the BJP remains a subject of intense political scrutiny.
