Dilip Ghosh Back in Form! Advises CM Mamata to ‘Take Rest’ After Bagging Kharagpur Ticket

After months of speculation, Dilip Ghosh has successfully reclaimed his stronghold, Kharagpur, as the BJP candidate for the upcoming Assembly polls. True to his aggressive style, Ghosh hit the ground running with a ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ session on Friday, launching a blistering attack on the TMC leadership. “You have made people suffer for 15 years; it’s time for you to rest now,” Ghosh said, addressing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Dismissing the TMC manifesto as a mere “collection of empty promises,” Ghosh criticized the recent bonus hike for civic volunteers. He questioned the source of funds, stating that the state eventually “begs” the Centre for money. “Why settle for meager allowances? Vote for PM Modi, and he will double your actual salaries,” he promised local volunteers.

Highlighting the issue of national security, Ghosh claimed that the BJP must win Bengal to stop the influx of terrorists and Rohingyas using the state as a gateway. He emphasized that a BJP government in Bengal is essential for India’s internal peace. Taking a dig at the CM’s letters to the Election Commission, Ghosh asserted that the EC is watching and the people will deliver the final verdict on May 4.
