Chaos at Kolkata Airport! Driverless Car Rams into IndiGo Flight’s Engine, Major Scare on Runway

A major safety breach occurred at Kolkata Airport on Tuesday evening when an unmanned catering vehicle rammed into a parked IndiGo aircraft. The flight, 6E 6663, was stationed at Bay 51 and was scheduled to depart for Guwahati when the SUV suddenly rolled into its engine, causing significant structural damage.
According to reports, the third-party vehicle was driverless at the time of the collision. It remains a mystery how the vehicle began moving on its own toward the stationary plane. IndiGo issued a statement confirming the incident, stating, “A driverless third-party vehicle collided with our aircraft. We are fully cooperating with the authorities for a thorough investigation.”
While no injuries were reported, the accident caused immediate panic and flight delays. IndiGo arranged an alternative aircraft for the stranded passengers. This incident follows a string of recent safety concerns involving IndiGo at various Indian airports, raising serious questions about ground-handling protocols and vehicle security on the tarmac.
