Brazen Impersonation: How a Civic Volunteer Managed to Don Police Uniform in Front of Superiors

The controversial image of Civic Volunteers in West Bengal has hit a new low in Barasat, North 24 Parganas. A volunteer named Mahinoor Ali was caught performing duty while dressed in a full police uniform near the District Magistrate’s office. Shockingly, he was seen receiving instructions from senior officers without any fear of detection.
Mahinoor is no stranger to controversy, with a track record of intimidating locals and alleged involvement in illegal activities. Despite Supreme Court guidelines stating that civic volunteers must not be engaged in maintaining law and order, this brazen display of authority has sparked outrage. The primary question remains: how did a volunteer gain access to a regular police uniform?
The incident has triggered a political firestorm. BJP leader Raju Banerjee alleged that the ruling TMC is using civic volunteers in police attire to suppress opposition workers during elections. While the administration is red-faced, Barasat SDPO Vidyasagar Ajinka Anant has assured a thorough investigation and strict action against the offender.
