Ancient Curses Meet Modern Horrors, Parambrata’s ‘Raktaphalak’ Set to Chill Your Bones!

Director Parambrata Chattopadhyay is back with another spine-chilling supernatural thriller titled ‘Raktaphalak,’ based on a story by Abheek Sarkar. Set to stream on Hoichoi from May 1st, the series features powerhouse performer Saswata Chatterjee as Agambagish, a Tantric scholar caught between forbidden knowledge and unsettling visions.

The series marks the much-anticipated OTT debut of popular television actress Mohana Maiti, who plays Titli, a young girl lured into a dangerous trap via social media. Arjun Chakrabarty portrays the sophisticated yet sinister Vajraketu, a man whose charming exterior masks a monstrous, centuries-old curse. Adding more depth to the narrative is Koneenica Banerjee, playing a mother terrified of the darkness growing within her own child.

According to Parambrata, ‘Raktaphalak’ delves into the uncomfortable intersection of mythological horror and contemporary realities like human trafficking. It explores faith, trauma, and the malevolent forces that exist beyond human control. With a gripping screenplay by Shantanu Mitra Neogi, ‘Raktaphalak’ promises to be a haunting journey into the unknown. Mark your calendars for its premiere on May 1st!
