The Supreme Court has delivered reassuring news for Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. The apex court issued directions to stay all proceedings in the disproportionate assets case against him. The Supreme Court conveyed this order to the Allahabad High Court on Monday.

The Congress leader had been accused of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. The Allahabad High Court had directed the CBI and ED to investigate these allegations. Rahul Gandhi challenged that order in the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court directed that no action be taken against Rahul Gandhi in this case until his petition is heard, issuing this stay order directly to the Allahabad High Court.
