Major Shake-up in Bengal Polls, Owaisi Breaks Alliance with Humayun Kabir Over Viral Video!

In a high-voltage development just before the West Bengal Assembly Elections, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has officially snapped ties with Humayun Kabir’s party. The decision comes after a controversial video clip, allegedly showing remarks questioning the integrity of the Muslim community, went viral. Owaisi, during his campaign trail in West Paschim Bardhaman, declared that his party would never tolerate any insult to the honesty of the people of Bengal.
“Our goal is to build an independent political leadership for Muslims in Bengal. Without our own voice, we will remain marginalized forever,” Owaisi stated, emphasizing that AIMIM is now set to contest the elections independently. He criticized the ruling TMC government for using minorities merely as a “vote bank” while failing to deliver on education, employment, and real empowerment.
Rebuffing the “B-team” allegations from rival parties, the Hyderabad MP asserted that AIMIM stands for the voice of the oppressed. Following the split, the party is expected to field its own candidates in several constituencies, significantly altering the minority voting equations in the state. Owaisi urged the community to rise above traditional political patterns and demand their rightful share in power.
