Mission DUSTLIK: Indian Army’s Power Play in Uzbekistan to Crush Global Terror!

Elevating defense cooperation and tactical synergy, the 7th edition of the joint military exercise ‘Exercise DUSTLIK’ between India and Uzbekistan has officially commenced. A 60-member Indian contingent, primarily comprising a battalion from the Mahar Regiment and Indian Air Force personnel, has reached Uzbekistan for the drill, which will continue until April 25th.

According to the Ministry of Defence, the exercise is designed to enhance mutual capabilities in conducting joint operations within semi-mountainous terrain. The core focus remains on high-efficiency counter-terrorism operations, including land navigation, raids on enemy hideouts, and tactical neutralization of illegal armed groups. The training will conclude with a rigorous 48-hour validation exercise to test the combat readiness and joint command structures. Beyond tactical excellence, DUSTLIK serves as a strategic bridge, fostering camaraderie and strengthening the bilateral friendship between these two key regional partners.
