Global Oil Crisis Looming? Iran’s Fiery Response to US Naval Blockade

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has launched a scathing attack on US President Donald Trump following Washington’s announcement of a naval blockade on Iran-linked maritime traffic. As tensions escalate, Ghalibaf mocked the potential economic blowback on American consumers, specifically targeting fuel prices.

Sharing a photo of a gas station near the White House, Ghalibaf posted, “Enjoy the current pump statistics.” He warned that if pressure on the Strait of Hormuz increases, Americans will soon feel “nostalgic” for $4-$5 per gallon fuel, suggesting prices are set to skyrocket far beyond current levels.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the blockade will take effect today at 7:30 PM IST, targeting vessels using Iranian ports regardless of their origin. While US officials claim they do not intend to disrupt global shipping lanes, Iran’s cryptic equations suggest a massive retaliation that could set the global energy market ablaze.
