MP Kalyan Banerjee’s Son Sirsanya Worth Crores! Check the Massive Assets of Uttarpara Candidate

The Uttarpara Assembly constituency in Hooghly is in the spotlight as Sirsanya Bandopadhyay, son of veteran TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee, makes his electoral debut. Sirsanya, a lawyer by profession, filed his nomination on April 5th, disclosing assets that have set tongues wagging. According to his affidavit, the combined wealth of Sirsanya and his wife stands at a staggering ₹7.92 crore.
For the financial year 2024-25, Sirsanya reported an annual income of approximately ₹97.37 lakh, while his wife earned around ₹11.69 lakh. His movable assets, valued at over ₹5.03 crore, include significant investments in shares, mutual funds, and fixed deposits across nine bank accounts. His wife holds movable assets worth ₹1.22 crore. The couple also owns private vehicles and a substantial amount of gold—47 grams belonging to Sirsanya and 210 grams to his wife.
In terms of immovable property, Sirsanya owns a flat worth ₹1.5 crore, while his wife owns a property valued at ₹16 lakh. Despite the high-profile nature of his entry into politics, the affidavit confirms that there are no criminal cases registered against him. As he steps into his father’s shoes for the 2026 elections, his robust financial profile has become a major talking point in Hooghly’s political circles.
