‘Real Math After ’26!’ Suvendu Adhikari Issues Direct Challenge to Mamata Banerjee from Patashpur!

The political battlefield of West Bengal is heating up as the state inches closer to the 2026 Assembly elections. Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Suvendu Adhikari delivered a blistering speech in Patashpur, East Midnapore, today, issuing a direct and stern challenge to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Adhikari proclaimed that the “real settlement of accounts” would commence immediately after the 2026 elections, hinting at legal consequences for the current regime.

Addressing a massive gathering, Adhikari focused his fire on the alleged corruption scandals that have plagued the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government. From recruitment scams to irregularities in the public distribution system, Suvendu left no stone unturned in criticizing the ruling dispensation. “The countdown for this corrupt government has begun. After 2026, those who looted the poor will have to answer to the law,” Adhikari thundered, much to the cheers of the crowd.

The LoP also urged BJP workers to stand firm against any intimidation tactics, asserting that the political tide in Bengal is shifting. He claimed that the people of Medinipur have always shown the way for change and will do so again in 2026. In response, the TMC dismissed Adhikari’s claims as “baseless rhetoric” and “political desperation,” maintaining that Mamata Banerjee’s welfare schemes remain unbeatable. However, Suvendu’s “account-settling” warning has certainly set the tone for what promises to be a high-octane and polarized electoral battle in the coming months.
