Director Kumar Chowdhury is back with his second feature film, ‘Sob Khobori Bishesh Noy’ (Not Every News is Special), now playing exclusively at Nandan-2. Set against the grim backdrop of June 2020, the film follows a couple, Amal and Lopa, as they travel from Kolkata to their village. Haunted by the memory of a lost child and a deceased father, their journey turns into a profound exploration of human resilience during the pandemic.

Featuring stellar performances by Prasun Gain, Piyali Das, and Debprasad Halder, the film has been edited by acclaimed filmmaker Pradipta Bhattacharyya. Having already garnered official selections at prestigious international platforms like the Kuala Lumpur and Jagran Film Festivals, this cinematic piece serves as a powerful reminder that even in the darkest times, love and humanity prevail.
