Following the announcement of the 2026 West Bengal Assembly Election dates, CPIM State Secretary Md. Salim has launched a scathing attack on both the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Election Commission (EC). He questioned how an organization that has failed to produce a “healthy” or error-free voter list can guarantee a transparent polling process. Salim reminded the Commission of its fundamental duties, emphasizing that the democratic rights of the citizens are currently at stake.
