Trump Begins Five Day Scotland Visit Amidst Protest Concerns

US President Donald Trump has arrived in Scotland for a five-day visit, staying at his golf resorts in Aberdeen and Turnberry from July 25 to 29. According to the White House, Trump may meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Scotland’s First Minister John Swinney to discuss potential trade agreements during his stay.
This marks Trump’s first visit to Scotland since 2016, his 2018 trip having been met with significant protests. Demonstrations against his policies are again planned for July 26 in Aberdeen and Edinburgh, prompting increased vigilance from authorities. Police forces are working extended hours to manage the situation. Trump is also scheduled to visit Britain with his wife in September, following an invitation from King Charles III to Windsor Castle.
