With eight such tragic deaths reported in the past year, CM Yogi expressed deep anger and questioned officials on how the banned material was still infiltrating the market.

• Intense Raids: All district police chiefs have been ordered to launch immediate and rigorous search operations to seize stocks of Chinese manja.
• Targeting the Network: The CM has mandated identifying the entire illegal supply chain—from manufacturers to retailers—and ensuring their immediate arrest.
• High-Level Review: The state-wide crackdown will be reviewed at the highest administrative levels regularly to ensure there is no negligence.
