Earlier this year, nearly 250 Poodle-cross dogs were rescued from a single property where the situation had spiraled out of control due to family issues and uncontrolled breeding. While RSPCA took 87 dogs under its care, the rest were sent to Dogs Trust. Many of the rescued animals were found in critical condition, requiring long-term medical treatment and rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Superintendent Joe Hurst stated that such cases have surged by 70% in England and Wales since 2021.
