According to BSF sources, the action was taken in self-defense during a violent confrontation with a group of infiltrators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BSF spotted a group of 7-8 individuals attempting to breach the border fence under the cover of darkness. Despite multiple warnings to retreat, the group continued to advance, leading to a physical scuffle with the on-duty personnel. In the ensuing clash, the BSF opened fire, critically injuring one individual identified as Mohammad Ali Hossain (49), a resident of Lalmonirhat, Bangladesh. He was rushed to a local hospital where he was declared brought dead.
