Dilip Ghosh, the BJP candidate from Kharagpur Sadar, claimed that the situation in Bengal has become identical to Bangladesh, alleging systematic persecution of Hindus and frequent attacks on temples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an interview, Ghosh alleged that Hindus from Murshidabad are fleeing to Malda due to extreme torture, all under the “protection of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.” Adding fuel to the fire, Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari reported that an idol of Lord Ram was vandalized in Nandigram by “anti-social elements” just days before Ram Navami. Adhikari accused the TMC government of being anti-Hindu and nurturing goons for vote-bank politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
